The search is on to recognize and honour Women Leadership<\/strong> in our country through the WIM Tan Sri Dato Napsiah Omar (TSDNO) Women Leaders Award. This Award is one of the several initiatives to be undertaken by the Tan Sri Dato Napsiah Omar Chair for Women\u2019s Leadership, setup by WIM and aptly named after the founder, with the mission to upskill and uplift the status of women through dialogue, collaborative efforts, research, forums, conferences, training and educational programmes with the theme, \u201cEmpower Women to Lead<\/strong>\u201d.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

WIM as an organization that has worked towards empowering women on many platforms, has initiated this Award under the TSDNO Chair for Women\u2019s Leadership to appreciate women who have deservedly achieved recognition in a position of leadership in her field of work and expertise, and have broken the glass ceiling. They in turn would have mentored and empowered other women, been involved in community work and helping the less fortunate. These women leaders would also have demonstrated transformative qualities like clarity of vision, innovativeness and strategic planning and clearly have broken the stereotypes of women, eg. working in unusual fields and possibly recognized regionally and internationally as well.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Chairperson of the TSDNO Chair for Women\u2019s Leadership, Puan Sri Siew Yong Gnanalingam said, \u201cWhat sets this award apart is the focus on the award winner\u2019s achieved recognition as an inspirational and exemplary woman leader in her field. We hope that these Women Leaders would in turn inspire other women in every field to reach for the sky and be exemplary women leaders. We look forward to receiving many nominations of the many deserving women leaders in our country who have demonstrated strong values and contributed to the betterment of others in entrepreneurship, management, business or social work.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
